The Latest Construction Update
Week of December 28, 2020

Significant progress continues at the development site of the future Marriott International Headquarters and Marriott Hotel.

The remaining minor concrete operations along the rooftop have now concluded, which marks the end of all concrete work for the project. Additional Roofing and miscellaneous steelwork continue through January. Meanwhile, deliveries and installation of curtain wall and glass along the exterior façade continue, which should be reaching the roof of the office building by January, as well.

Along Woodmont Avenue, the only remaining underground work involves the installation of telecommunications lines, which should be completed by the end of December.

Earlier this month, a large delivery came to the site that necessitated removing part of the perimeter fencing, as a cooling tower was installed using the existing crane. The tower crane is scheduled for removal in February.

Inside the buildings, the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work continues. Of the seventeen elevators inside the office building, with another five inside the hotel, three are now complete.
