Local High School Students Explore Careers at Marriott International HQ

December 20th, 2019

On December 5, 2019, Marriott International once again participated in Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School’s Career Partnership Day. Now celebrating its 26-year anniversary, the program is produced in partnership with Junior Achievement and the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce.

This year, more than 35 organizations opened their doors to host students of the program. The one-day event, open to high school juniors and seniors, allows students to shadow professionals in a role that aligns with their particular career interest.

The opportunity to explore and gain insights into the world of work is invaluable,” said Roberta Ricci, Career Partnership Day Adviser at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. “We appreciate Marriott’s participation, planning, and sharing they provided our students. We could not have had such a successful experience without the company’s continued support!”

Career Partnership Day engages the local business community to provide students with experiences to explore different career paths, or even provide a glimpse into their future career. Students participate to better understand the connection between academics and the real-world, identify the skills they need to succeed, and make more informed career choices.

“We were honored to host these ambitious, bright young students at our Marriott International headquarters,” said Niki Zoli, Director, Social Impact at Marriott International. “We always appreciate the Bethesda Chevy Chase High School students enthusiasm and curiosity, and the chance to introduce them to our industry and potential future careers with Marriott. We look forward to more collaborations with Bethesda Chevy Chase High School!
